An account of a visit to a neglected genius [manuscript], 1871-1872.

By John William Jarvis. Includes a description of a visit to Yorkshire and a few references to Shakespeare. Most of this account seems to have been used when compiling his The glyptic, or Musee phusee glyptic : a scrapbook of jottings from Stratford-on-Avon ... with an attempt at description of Henry Jones's museum, 1875. The first part with some changes appears on p. 101. Also, advertisements for and reviews of The glyptic ..., 1874-1879; 7 autograph letters to Jarvis, 1875-1876, 1904, from Henry Jones, John Williams, the illustrator, Samuel Timmins, J.L. Toole and W.G. Colbourne, 2 photographs (of Jones?), and other papers.
